About this Australian Vineyard:
The journey commenced in 1980 when Simon Adams, fresh out of Year 12 at school in Adelaide accepted a vintage role with family-owned Yalumba Winery in the Barossa. A natural talent, he became Chief Winemaker at 33. In 1996 he bought his own vineyard the original Lehmann family vineyard in Angaston (originally planted in 1932) and then the Mt McKenzie “Jellicoe” vineyard was purchased. These 2 vineyards are the basis for creating his well renowned Sorby Adams varieties.
